Alba Argerich
Associate Professor
School of Natural Resources
Argerich is an aquatic scientist interested in understanding the effects of land use on water quality and ecosystem integrity using experimental and modeling approaches. Her projects include analyzing the use of bioengineering techniques to restore water quality, the effects of urbanization and heavy metals on aquatic functional processes, how dams impact downstream macroinvertebrate communities, and understanding how extreme hydrologic events modulate carbon and nutrient fluxes.
