Richard Fordyce
Farmer, Former Administrator of the Farm Service Agency, Former Director, Missouri Department of Agriculture
Richard Fordyce has been involved in, and has had a passion for, ag and rural advocacy for most of his life. Richard started as a teenager being involved in organizations like FFA and student government. His leadership continued to evolve in organizations focused on soil conservation (Missouri Soil and Water Districts Commission), the soybean checkoff (Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council and United Soybean Board), and Farm Bureau (Harrison County Farm Bureau, Missouri Farm Bureau and AFBF). Richard loves to communicate the good story of agriculture and rural America and their people. Fordyce served as the Director of the Missouri Department of Agriculture and served as Administrator of USDA’s Farm Service Agency in the Trump Administration. He is currently the Business Growth Director for OBP, a PR and communications company that focuses on agriculture and rural issues. Richard raises corn, soybeans, and cattle on his farm in NW Missouri. He has been married to Renee for almost 33 years and has two adult children, both are engaged in agriculture.
