Pat has been employed by University of Missouri Extension as a climatologist since 1996. He received his Ph.D. in Soil, Environmental and Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Missouri in 2004 and, in addition to his Extension and campus activities as an Associate Professor in Climatology, he operates a statewide network of 40 automated weather stations, serves as the State Climatologist for Missouri, Director of the Missouri Climate Center, and co-coordinator of the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow network in Missouri.
